I love the library or a book store. There's something about the smell, the feel of the paper, the beautiful covers on the books. It's one of my most favorite places, next to the forest! So I decided to create characters based on the genres in the library or book store. What would they look like? Meet Crescent, the steampunk fairy. She is part of the Science Fiction genre. She has tales of steam powered machines, gears, clock parts, power, and politics to tell. She was hand sculpted from epoxy clay, a two-part clay that dries hard as a rock, over an armature. She has a beautiful steampunk walking cane with lots of watch parts, a fuse, a steampunk skull and gears. Her dress holds lots of antique brass watch pieces, the star being the one at the bottom of the bodice. She has a tiny silver clock with silver chains that hold a tiny bottle of magic. Her mechanical arm is a antique piece of a clock. In her back is a vintage wind up key. Her face holds more antique watch pieces, tiny gears and the hands from watch faces. There is a vintage jewelry piece at the front of her hair, then an assortment of antique brass clock gears, fuses, and light bulbs are worven among her braids. She is a one of a kind that will never be able to be duplicated due to all of the antique parts on her. Her bookshelf skirt contains books of Steampunk Science Fiction. She is painted in many layers of acrylics, and sealed her with love and magic! I put a lot of time and love into her and I hope that you will love her as much as I do!
Thank you so much to everyone that supports my small business! I truly appreciate you from the bottom of my creative heart!
