She travels because lost things rarely remain in one place.
When someone loses a name, a road, a memory—or the courage to begin again—she listens, then chooses one of the little bottles she carries. The forest calls her the Traveling Apothecary. She knows what the lost are seeking.
Her weathered hat, layered dark clothes, stitched patches, basket, broom, charms, and tiny apothecary bottles tell the story of a witch who has spent a long time walking the woodland paths. A warm lantern lights her way; its switch is discreetly tucked inside her skirt.
This one-of-a-kind freestanding sculpture has a hand-sculpted, individually painted face and hands, with carefully assembled textiles and miniature traveling details throughout.
