The seams hold. The form remains.
But something softer lingers beneath it all.
Something almost human.
This is a one-of-a-kind sculptural painting, hand sculpted and painted by Michele Lynch.
His face is fully sculpted in dimensional form, emerging from a painted surface and set within an ornate black frame. Subtle variations in tone and texture give his features a quiet depth, while the stitched details and muted palette evoke a sense of fragility and endurance.
Though separate from the Thorn Garden works, he exists as a singular study-an echo of another kind of making, another kind of life.
