She was not made in the garden.
She does not belong to root or thorn, nor the quiet rituals of those who grow and gather beneath the veil. And yet...she remains.
The Stitched Bride is a figure remembered rather than known-assembled, altered, and awakened by hands that sought to defy what should rest undisturbed. Time has softened her, but not entirely. The seams still hold. The silence still lingers.
She does not speak of where she came from.
Only that she endured it.
This is a one-of-a-kind sculptural painting, hand sculpted and painted by Michele Lynch.
Her face is fully sculpted in dimensional form, emerging from a painted surface and set within an ornate black frame. Her stitched features and softly aged complexion are layered with subtle tones to evoke both fragility and persistence.
Though she stands apart from the Thorn Garden works, she exists as something adjacent-an echo of another place, another kind of becoming.
Painted in layered acrlyics and oils, then sealed for preservation.
Signed and ready to hang.
